FAQ

If you don’t see your question here, please contact us by phone or email. We look forward to hearing from you.

Do you service outside of the Greater Hamilton area?

At the time of writing we are specializing in areas that are within a 1 hour drive of Hamilton, Ontario.

However, we are growing and may be extending our viable service area – especially when we know there is a viable need.

You can help let us know if you have interest by email, phone call or filling out any of the Quick Question, RFP or Consulting forms.

What is an RFP?

A Request For Proposal is made from a condo board or building owner to solicit a business proposal from a property management firm.

We can help you along your RFP journey as well as produce an outstanding proposal for you here.

What if we are not ready for an RFP?

You have questions and we are here to help get answers. Let’s get in touch and see how we can help.

While we love phone calls, we know you might want to schedule this call. Filling out this form can help.

The information you provide is in confidence and will help both of us have a more fruitful scheduled conversation.

Are you a Registered Condo Manager (RCM)?

Lodestone Properties is licensed with the CMRAO to provide condominium management. Our outstanding team consists of RCM’s and support administrators.

Have a look at the ACMO Resources for Condo Board Directors and Owners.

What types of properties do you manage?

We specialize in small to medium-sized condominium corporations and communities. Your property won’t be overlooked or lost in a large portfolio.

How does a smaller management company benefit our condo board and residents?

Being family-run means we are accessible, responsive, and focused. You’ll know exactly who to call, and you’ll get a timely answer without being passed around from department to department.

Do you offer customized service plans?

Yes. Every property is unique. We tailor our services to match your community’s size, budget, and needs rather than pushing a “one-size-fits-all” package.

How do you support the Board of Directors?

We handle the day-to-day operations so the Board can focus on decision-making. This includes coordinating maintenance, managing budgets, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with the Condominium Act.

Are you available after hours?

Absolutely. Emergencies don’t wait for office hours, and neither do we. Our 24/7 emergency line ensures urgent matters are dealt with promptly.

How do you help with keeping costs under control?

We work with trusted local contractors and always seek competitive pricing. Our approach is to protect the corporation’s finances while maintaining the property properly.

How quickly can we expect responses from you?

We pride ourselves on being responsive. You’ll usually hear back from us the same day, and we are always available in an emergency.

What if our community has unique needs?

That’s exactly why we don’t do cookie-cutter service. We’ll meet with your Board, understand your goals and budget, and build a management plan that fits your property.

How do you handle vendor relationships and repairs?

We work with trusted, local contractors who understand condominium work. We collect multiple quotes when needed, and we keep the Board fully informed before moving forward.

Do you provide financial transparency?

Yes. Every month we provide clear, easy-to-read financial statements, and your Board has access to all records. We treat your property’s money with accountability and care.

Can you help if our community is self-managed now?

Absolutely. We often work with Boards transitioning from self-management. We take care of the paperwork, financial handover, and vendor coordination, so you can focus on the bigger picture.

How do you support long-term planning for our property?

Beyond day-to-day management, we help Boards look ahead with reserve fund planning, preventative maintenance, and cost-control strategies to avoid surprises down the road.

What’s the process for getting started with Lodestone?

It’s simple. We meet with your Board, learn about your property, and provide a customized proposal. If you choose us, we’ll guide you through a smooth transition, so nothing is missed.

What makes Lodestone different from other management firms?

We’re a family-run company that values relationships, not just contracts. Your property won’t be just another file — it will be a community we know by name, and a place we’re proud to serve.
